On February 4th, Alison Cooke introduced Therapeutic Touch to the Esthetics Class at Loyalist College in Belleville. The students viewed a PowerPoint presentation while learning how to feel their own energy field and that of a partner. The students were surprised by how much they could feel! They also learned how to quiet their minds in a short centering exercise. They were encouraged to continue using the exercise to help them with their stressful lives!

Watch this space for information about Therapeutic Touch Awareness Week (TTAW) events. Each year the TTNO organizes the TTAW to coincide with National Nursing week and National Hospice Palliative Care week. This year it will be May 11-17. During this time events are held all over Ontario to introduce Therapeutic Touch to the greater community. We visit long term care facilities, high schools, libraries, supermarkets and more to share the good news about TT. Visit the TTNO website for more information about this event.
On Thursday, November 7, Alison Cooke introduced Therapeutic Touch to caregivers at the Wellington support group of the Alzheimer Society Hastings-Prince Edward. Alison used a short PowerPoint presentation, followed by a demonstration, to introduce both Therapeutic Touch for Self-Care and how to learn to give TT to others through the TTNO Levels 1, 2 and 3. Members were interested in receiving TT and learning TT.
Crystal gave the keynote talk Friday night, October 18, at the TTI/TTNO conference in King City. The title of her talk was The Quantum World of Therapeutic Touch.
